Business Card Designer Customization Tools
Business card Designer offers a number of tools where you can create a Business card for yourself and aims at giving you the professional edge . Here are the tools that assist you  in creating your Business Card Designer.

Business card Size: You can select a business card size from the 2 sizes available. You can either pick a size 3.5X2 (horizontal) or you can pick 2X3.5 (vertical) business card size. To further enhance your creativity, you can pick the height & width of your choice and requirement of your business card.
 
Text Option: Click the Add Text tool in the work area and & the Text Properties area gets highlighted in the right panel of the screen. Using the different tools in the panel you can select font, size, and style for the text. Further you can add color to your text, give shadow as well as transparency effects and also rotate the text as per requirement. Further, you can select if you want the text to be left, right or centre aligned.

Add Symbol Option: Click the symbols tab in the bottom navigation and add the symbol of your choice to your business card. You can carry out the different effects to your symbol like transparency and rotation effects and can also add color to your symbol.

Add Image Option: Click the image tab in the bottom navigation. Here, you can browse and select an image or logo to be added to your banner. Also, you have the added option of adding different features to your picture and you can place them at a position as per your requirement in the business card.
 
Add Shape Option: Click the shape tab in the bottom navigation. Here you can add the shape of your choice and requirement to your business card. You can further carry out the different effects on your shape, like transparency and rotation effects . Further, you can add color, give shadow effects and also lock your shape.

Bring Forward: The Bring Forward tool is used to place an object in front of another object on the business card. (See Bringing an Object Forward.)

Send Backward: The Send Backward tool is used to place an object behind another object on the business card. (See Sending an Object Backward.)

Quick Help: Click the help button to get a quick reference to the steps for using the Business card Designer product.

File menu: You can perform various tasks such as opening a New project, Opening an existing project, Save, Publishing the Business Card Designer and Exit.

Edit menu: You can perform various tasks, such as Undo, Redo, Cut, Copy, Paste and Delete functions.

View menu: You can perform Bring Forward, Bring to front, Move to Back and Move Backward functions.

Help menu: You can use the Help menu to refer to Business Card Designer online help & Tutorial, Technical Support, visit the Business card Designer website, Other NetSmartz products, Buy Business Card Designer, and know about Business Card Designer products.

Working in Business Card Designer
Adding Text

• Click the ADD Text tool in the Work Area. A default text ‘Double click to ADD Text’ will appear on the business card work area.
• Next, type the text in the Work Area. You can further give the different effects to the text which will appear in the business card from the Text Properties Tool Box.

Adding an Image

• Click the Image Tab from the Bottom Navigation.
• Click the Browse button. A Select Image dialog box gets displayed. Select the image you need to import and click Open.
• You can apply the different functions and styles to the image. However, you can apply Transparency effect to the image. Also, you can rotate the image as per your requirement.
• You can also select the position of your Image and also crop the image or specify the size of your image.

Adding a Shape

• Click the Shape Tab from the Bottom Navigation.
• Click the Select Shape and scroll sideways to see the different shapes available. Give the size specifications of the shape and Click. The image will get added to the business card. You can further apply the different effects to the shape, Like adding color, applying the transparency and shadow effect to the shape and rotating the shape.

Adding a Background

• Click the Background Tab from the Bottom Navigation.
• Select from the backgrounds available. You can select the RGB colors or select a new color from the color palette available.
• Also, you can Browse and add a background image to your business card.

Selecting a Card layout

• Click the Card Layout   Tab from the Bottom Navigation.
• Select a business card size, specify the card structure and if you want to create a business card from a card layout and select a category from here. Also, you can change the the measurement of your card, it can be in centimeters or in millimeters as per your requirement.  

Bringing Forward an Object

• Click the object you wish to bring forward.
• Next, click the Bring Forward tool in the top left sub Menu Bar.

Alternate Method:

• Click the object you wish to send backward.
• From the Menu Bar, click the View > Bring Forward.

Send Backward an Object

• Click the object you wish to send backward.
• Next, click the Send Backward tool in the top left sub Menu Bar.  

Alternate Method:

• Click the object you wish to send backward.
• From the Menu Bar, click the View > Send Backward.

Bring to Front

• Click the object you wish to Bring to Front.
• Next, From the Top left Sub Menu Bar, click the View > Bring to Front.

Move to Back

• Click the object you wish to Move to Back.
• Next, From the Top left Sub Menu Bar, click the View > Move to Back.

Publishing a Business Card

• To publish a selection, select Publish in the top left sub menu.
• A Save File Format dialog box appears. Specify the Folder location where you want to save the business card.
• Check the box, if you want to save one side of the card or if you want to save both sides of the card.
• Select the file format, whether you want to publish the Banner in PDF format or BMP format.
• Specify the print quality, whether you want 300 or 600. Also check the box in case you want Tile. Now Click the Publish button.
• Alternatively, click the File Menu and click the Publish Sub Menu for publishing your business card.

Exiting Business Card

• From the Menu Bar, click File > Exit sub menu. Alternatively, you can also close the application from the Close(X) button on the top right corner of the BannerSmartz window.

Applying Effects
Applying Text Effects

• Click the ADD Text tool in the Work Area.
• A text properties interface will get highlighted in the right column. From here, you can carry out the different effects on your text. Click the Properties Tab and carry out the following :

1. “Double click to add Text” and add the relevant content.
2. Next, select the font type of the text by scrolling the different fonts available. Also, select the size of the text here.
3. Further the text can be made Bold, Italic and Underlined here by clicking the boxes. The text can be made left aligned, centre aligned and right aligned as per requirement.
4. The text can be given the shadow effect and you can select a color from the color palette here and add the color to the text.
5. Here you can give transparency effect to your text. Click the Transparency tool and move it either to the right or the left and give the text the required effect.

• You can rotate the position of the text as well. Click the Rotation tool and move it either to the right or the left and give the text the required turn.
• Check the box and lock the image you finalized.

Applying Effects to Images
Select the Image Tab in the bottom navigation. On doing so, the different affects that you can apply to your image appear. Below is a description of the different effects you can give to the images:

• Browse and upload the image as per your choice.
• Crop the picture as per requirement, so that it fits appropriately in the Business Card.
• Position the image by selecting the X and Y positioning and place the image at the correct place on the business card. Alternatively, simply move the image on the work area and appropriately place the image at the required place.
• Select the size of the image by giving the appropriate width and height to the image. Thus modulate the size of the image.
• Here you can give transparency effect to your image. Click the Transparency tool and move the arrow to either the right or the left and give the image the required effect.
• You can rotate the position of the image as well. Click the Rotation tool and move it either to the right or the left and give the image the required turn.
• Check the box and lock the image you finalized.

Applying Effects to the Shapes
Select the shape Tab in the bottom navigation. The different shapes available with the software appear. On selecting the shape, the different affects that you can apply to your shape appear. Below is a description of the different effects you can give to the shape:

• You can select a shape from the given shapes. On selection, the shape will appear on the business card in the work area.
• Here you can carry out different effects on the shape and modulate the shape as given by the different tools available here.
• Position the shape by selecting the X and Y positioning and place the shape at the correct place on the business card. Alternatively, simply move the shape  on the business card and appropriately place the shape at the required place.
• Select the size of the shape by giving the appropriate width and height to the shape Thus modulate the size of the shape.
• Here you can give transparency effect to your shape. Click the Transparency tool and move the arrow to either the right or the left and give the shape the required effect.
• You can rotate the position of the shape as well. Click the Rotation tool and move it either to the right or the left and give the shape the required turn.
• Further the shape can be given the shadow effect and you can select a color from the color palette here and add the color to the shape.
• Check the shape and lock the shape you finalized.
